The biggest game in European club football is almost here, the Champions League final, and will be played by English giants Manchester City and Chelsea.
Will Pep Guardiola succeed in winning his third European Cup – and his first since leaving Barcelona – and in the meantime taking City to the trophy their owners crave above all else?
Or will Thomas Tuchel compete in Chelsea folklore alongside Roberto Di Matteo as the only other manager to lead the club to glory in Europe’s biggest cup competition?
Coincidentally, like Tuchel, the Italian Di Matteo was parachuted into the hot seat of Stamford Bridge after owner Roman Abramovich fired his manager.
Regardless of who wins, both teams qualified for the Champions League next season after City finished first and Chelsea fourth in the Premier League.

The 2021 Champions League final will be played on Saturday 29 May.
This year’s final will take place three days after the Europa League final, scheduled for Wednesday 26 May.

The Champions League final will be played at the Estadio do Dragao in Porto, Portugal, home of the Primeira Liga, FC Porto.
This will be the second year running for the decisive match in Portugal, with Estadio da Luz in Lisbon hosting the 2020 final.
Ataturk Olympic Stadium was originally intended to host the 2021 final, but UEFA has moved the venue to Portugal following the UK government’s decision to place Turkey on its COVID-19 travel “ red list ”.
Which TV channel is it on?
BT Sport has exclusive rights to the UK Champions League, so if you want to watch the game through traditional TV, you will need to be a subscriber.
However, since 2015, BT has also shown the free final on its YouTube channel and will do so again this year.
In the UK, games can also be watched on Virgin 532 and 533 channels.
Who are the finalists?
After beating Real Madrid 3-1 on aggregates, Chelsea staged the second all-English final in three years.
Manchester City secured their first European Cup final after defeating Paris Saint-Germain.
A win for Manchester City will see Guardiola’s brilliant side do the treble, along with Premier League and Carabao Cup victories.
Chelsea won this competition for the only time in 2012, while their manager Thomas Tuchel was a finalist with PSG last year.
Two years ago when Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in Madrid.
The 2008 final was also all English, when Chelsea beat Manchester United.
